Areas of Expertise
Therapy for young adults who feel lost, stuck or disconnected from themselves.
You might know that something doesn't feel quite right, but you're not entirely sure what needs to change. Perhaps you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed, struggling with your self-esteem, experiencing low mood, or questioning who you are and what you want from your life.
You may also be starting to realise that some of what you're struggling with today has roots in your childhood or in the relationships and experiences that shaped you.
Therapy can give you a space to slow down, make sense of what's happening and begin to understand yourself more deeply.
You might be experiencing:
Anxiety, worry or feeling overwhelmed
Low mood or feeling disconnected from life
Being very self-critical or struggling with your self-worth
Feeling lost, stuck or unsure what you want
Difficulty knowing who you are outside of other people's expectations
Struggling with relationships or repeating patterns that don't feel helpful
Feeling disconnected from yourself or your own needs
A difficult life transition or uncertainty about what comes next
Wanting to understand how your childhood has shaped you
Feeling like you want something to change, but not knowing where to start
We might explore:
Understanding your past
Looking at experiences from childhood and the relationships, beliefs and patterns that may still influence how you see yourself and relate to others today.
Reconnecting with yourself
Exploring your needs, feelings, values and sense of identity, particularly if you've become disconnected from who you are or have spent a lot of time trying to meet other people's expectations.
Working with your inner critic
Understanding where self-critical thoughts come from and developing a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Building self-worth and self-trust
Moving away from relying on external validation and towards feeling more secure in who you are, what you need and the decisions you make.
Understanding relationships and patterns
Exploring how you relate to other people, including attachment, boundaries and patterns that may have developed over time.
Working out what's next
Creating space to think about your future, your relationships, work, direction and the kind of life you actually want to build.
My approach
I work integratively, which means I don't follow one fixed method. I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on you, what you're experiencing and what feels useful.
This might include person-centred and psychodynamic therapy, Transactional Analysis, inner child work and guided visualisation.
Sometimes therapy is about understanding where something came from. Sometimes it's about making sense of what's happening right now. And sometimes it's about figuring out where you want to go next.
We work at a pace that feels right for you.
You don't need to know exactly what's wrong.
You don't need to arrive at therapy with everything figured out, or even know exactly what you want to work on.
Perhaps you just know that you're not feeling like yourself.
That's enough of a place to start.
